#Deutz 3006 rear shear pin generator
Langen and Otto invented the first four-stroke spark-ignition engine, and it was this engine that was used as a horse-drawn generator for hay balers and power threshers.
The Deutz Company can trace its origins to the founders Eugene Langen and August Otto. Hay equipment is also being distributed by this company in the US and Canada however, the hay equipment is produced directly from Germany through few importers. Presently, the distribution center is marketing the SAME and Deutz-Fahr tractors in the United States and Deutz-Fahr tractors in Canada. Currently, with the launch of the North American SAME Deutz-Fahr distribution center in Norcross, GA, the company is poised for a comeback. While the Deut-Fahr tractor was distributed via AGCO dealers since 1988, the sales have dwindled. It presents with approximately 30% of the market share in Europe and is noted as the fourth largest tractor manufacturer in the globe. It was also seen that the SAME Deutz-Fahr Company created to combine and hay equipment forming the largest privately owned tractor company in the world. The SAME Deutz-Fahr Company manufactured SAME tractors, Lamborghini tractors, and Hurliman tractors the Hurliman tractor line considered to be the most luxurious of all tractor lines developed. The SAME Group in Treviglio, Italy chose to purchase this company and developed a new business known as the SAME Deutz-Fahr Company. This purchase was considered a useful move, but it turned out to be an economic disaster where Deutz-Allis landed up being sold to AGCO in 1988.Īfter retreating to the established customer base in Germany, the Deutz-Fahr Company did not recover from the financial difficulty, and in 1995 it needed to be sold. TractorJoe has got top quality replacement parts for Deutz and Deutz Allis tractors. Those tractors are tough and there is one in my neck of the woods that has over 4000 hrs on it and they still are using it. Every year I hook a battery charger up the battery the night before and check the oil and fire it up the next morning. I have had a lot of people over the years to try and buy the tractor but it isn't hurting anything where it sits under a shed. The tractor has never not started with a charged battery. We only bush hog some deer lanes with it. We use it about 10 hours a year and that is probably high. I would guess the tractor has less than 1200 hours on it.
About five years ago the cable broke that kept up with the hours and I have never fixed it. When I purchased the tractor in 2005 it had 930 hrs. Back in the early 80's I worked for said friends and would go out and get on this tractor and bush hog their drive which was about a quarter mile long. I wish I knew if it was new or used when they purchased it.
]I bought my Deutz 3006 years ago from a friend and I have no idea how they obtained the tractor.
